DivDat Kiosk Network grows to multi-million dollar enterprise with help of BAB Associates, LLC
BAB Associates, LLC was hired in 2017 to assist DivDat with a strategic Public Relations campaign to promote its plans to expand its electronic bill payment services including the Kiosk Program that was known at the time as the DTE Bill Payment Kiosks. At the time, DivDat was primarily a “print and mail” invoice services company. The company sold its print and mail business to focus on electronic payment channels and BAB Associates was hired to help lead the transition.
Bruce Babiarz, President of BAB Associates, personally led the communications program. Babiarz assisted DivDat in securing the rights to the kiosk program where some 36 kiosks were placed in Metro Detroit by DivDat for the exclusive payment of DTE Energy bills via cash, check or credit/debit card.
Babiarz helped lead the contract talks that allowed DivDat to take legal control of the DTE Bill Payment Kiosks and expand the program to allow for multiple billers to offer kiosks to their customers. Babiarz also led the rebranding program to help create the DivDat Kiosk Network and negotiated deals with the Wayne County Treasurer’s office and Detroit Water and Sewerage Department to become the first public entities on the DivDat Kiosk network.
In 2019, DivDat signed BAB Associates, LLC to an exclusive Sales Representation contract and BAB Associates led the effort to a major expansion of the DivDat Kiosk Network by signing the City of Detroit Property Tax program to the network. Babiarz also secured contracts with numerous municipalities in Wayne County and engaged the stat of Michigan’s largest court by volume, the 36th District Court in Detroit to the Kiosk program. As part of the multi-million dollar sales effort, Babiarz created and built a world-class template for responding to government Requests for Proposals or RFPs that led to growth for DivDat within Michigan and in multiple states.
At the time BAB Associates terminated its five-year contract with DivDat in 2023, the kiosk and electronic payments programs that included Webpay, Mobile App, phone pay (IVR) and kiosks served more than 26 entities in seven states. The kiosk program had expanded to more than 100 kiosks in metropolitan areas. BAB Associates had served DivDat with Public Relations, Advertising, Branding, Sales and Marketing.
